Celebrate the festive season with a host of enchanting shows, festive food and free activities. Shows from across the globe are coming to Southbank Centre this winter – come along and delve into their magical, surreal and deliciously decadent worlds.

Hans Christian Andersen’s classic tale gets a dazzling makeover, there’s spellbinding mime with a twist and Slava covers you in a blizzard of snow! You’ll also be able to get involved with lots of fun installations and events and browse the bustling markets for the perfect Christmas gift – or a mince pie or two!

Messiah by Candlelight
Sunday 9 December
Following a sold-out performance in 2010, four acclaimed soloists join the London Chorus to perform Handel's grand choral masterpiece in an evocative candle-lit style setting.

The National Children's Orchestra
Sunday 9 December
Famed for programmes that shun easy alternatives, the orchestra peforms an afternoon of fun and festive cheer for all the family, led by Roger Clarkson, Conductor and Principal Director of Music.

Meow Meow's Little Match Girl
Thursday 13 December - Sunday 30 December
The cat is back, and you won't believe where she's been. Having starred in Kneehigh Theatre's West End hit 'The Umbrellas of Cherbourg', international cabaret sensation Meow Meow takes up residency at Southbank Centre, with a sizzling show that will defrost even the coldest of hearts.

Slava's Snowshow

Due to popular demand Slava's Snowshow returns to Southbank Centre's Royal Festival Hall this December 2012!
