1) Two big comedy talents – Jonny Sweet (Edinburgh Newcomer Award 2009) and Alex Horne (BBC3's We Need Answers) – preview their Edinburgh shows at the Invisible Dot, Camden, on Tuesday.

2) Robin Ince's Book Club returns on Wednesday for a one-off starring Phill Jupitus, Josie Long, Arnold Brown and more. The venue is Bloomsbury Theatre.

3) New Players Theatre in Charing Cross hosts a Macmillan Cancer Research fundraiser starring Terry Alderton, Dan Antopolski, Abandoman and more (Thursday).

4) Hal Cruttenden (Royal Variety Performance), Peep Show's Isy Suttie, the unique Terry Alderton and Edinburgh Newcomer Award nominee Carl Donnelly visit The Boat Show on Friday, located on the Tattershall Castel (on the Thames).

5) A top night of political comedy awaits at Hampstead Comedy Club (Pembroke Castle pub) where the Uk's premier satirist Andy Zaltzman and Jewish comic Ivor Dembina preview their Edinburgh shows (Sunday).

Also, you can see the stars of Channel 4's Stand Up For the Week (that's Rich Hall, Andi Osho, Jack Whitehall, Patrick Kielty and Kevin Bridges) do warm-up shows every Monday and Tuesday at various venues in London for just £3.
