Whether you catch the tube or the bus, watch the following video for information on a new challenge to improve your daily journey with £150,000 in prize funding to boot

Nightmare journeys. Let’s face it, we’ve all had them. Whether it’s being stuck in holiday traffic with the kids in tow, missing the tube or train on the way to work or simply finding you have a puncture in your bicycle tyre before you even set out, getting from A to B is not always as simple as it should be.

But what if you could help yourself and the rest of London get to their destination with as little strain as possible?

Well if you have a cracking idea, then now’s your chance to make a difference and receive £150,000 in funding as well in a new Dragon’s Den style competition.

The GeoVation Challenge, an online initiative supported by mapping agency Ordnance Survey, is calling for anyone with an innovative solution to ‘how we can improve transport in Britain’ to enter their annual awards.

Whether it’s a smart phone app that tells you which roads to avoid, or a car share club that uses geography to bring together potential lift-share partners based on their location, the GeoVation Challenge is open to anyone who believes they can make a difference to the lives of millions of Brits by improving transport.

So are you a frustrated commuter just trying to get into the City with a cracking idea? Or a budding young inventor who has been inspired to improve the journey of others? Watch the following video where Dr Chris Parker from the GeoVation team and Paul Beauchamp from Ordnance Survey have all the details and inspiration to get you started.
