LFW Day 3 - Osman

Love London

I was definitely excited about the Osman show yesterday - the first of his I've been to since I interned at his PR company back when I'd just finished uni (the day I had to go and buy Berocca for Lily Cole; one of my more memorable fashion moments!) It began with a catwalk swathed in an inkblot-stained carpet, and a front row including such fashion heavyweights as Sir Stuart Rose (of M&S) and Harold Tillman (chairman of the British Fashion Council).

Clean lines, sleek minimalism and fastidious tailoring produced a slick and classic collection. Opening with a zip-waisted leather shift with a flash of cobalt blue inkstain print at the neck, the pieces went on to include shift dresses, shell tops, wide-legged trousers and floor-skimming coats. Fabrics included luxurious winter combinations of cashmere, quilted brocade, matelasse and alpaca in shades of white and black with accents of strong reds, pinks, oranges and greens, as well as Osman's signature blue. I LOVED the fuschia floor length number with blue at the neck, a gorgeous colour combination that I have the perfect blue suede shoes to match!
