With the Olympics about to kick off, it's the perfect time to bring you news of one of the world’s leading Musculoskeletal therapists arriving in London for a summer residency. Rohan Quarry Day will be in situ at the COMO Shambhala Urban Escape at the Metropolitan London from now until October, bringing with him over 13 years experience of working with some of the world's top practitioners and athletes.
Rohan’s work will be focused on Musculoskeletal Deep Tissue Therapy (MDTT) – a powerful combination of many different types of therapy developed by himself and created particularly for people experiencing pain, stress and tiredness or who are suffering from a reduced range of movement, a sporting injury or who simply enjoy deep therapeutic bodywork. It is also beneficial in lengthening muscles, aiding the skeletal structure, removing toxins and calming the nervous system.
Rohan was born in Australia and has spent much of his work life in his home country, Asia and the US. His successful Deep Tissue Therapy and Bodywork Studios in Hong Kong and Los Angeles include a clientele of Olympic medallists, Triathletes, professional golf and tennis players, surfers, dancers and yoga instructors. Rohan is also a strength coach and personal trainer. His treatments combine intelligent massage therapy, Active Isolated Stretching (AIS), Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation (PNF).
Treatments will be tailored to meet each guest’s needs and will include postural analysis to show people how they use their bodies, check problem areas and range of movement to then work on increasing that range with isolated stretching and strengthening techniques. Massage combined with breathing techniques then serves to soften muscles and increase blood flow around the body.
