CHRISTMAS FOR KIDS: Lapland UK is BACK

London Art Scene from The Art Stop

So it seems t'is very much the time to be jolly, because the Christmas countdown has well and truly begun. In the last Art Stop post, we heard about the return of the Taste of Christmas Fesival. But that's not the only thing back for 2012 - the Lapland UK Christmas experience held in Bewl Water will also return in December.

The event is now in its sixth year and is well-known to be one of the most enchanting Christmas experience in the UK. And you get to meet Santa! Marvellous

So, what else can you do there?

Good question! So, as mentioned, the experience involves meeting the wonderful Father Christmas, his elves and even Mama Christmas in their magical UK home - but there are plenty of activities to enjoy along the way too.

First up, you'll travel along the Elves' magical forst paths - which only those with LaplandUK passports can do. The first stop is at the Toy Factory, where you can help Elves make the children's presents. Then there's Mother Christmas' Kitchen, where she'll need help decorating gingerbread before reading a story together. Following that, it's time to don the ice skates and sail across the ice to meet the local reindeer and huskies (real ones!)... before finally, having had a real adventure, meeting the big man himself, Father Cristmas. He mght even have a pressie for you (well, your kids).

LaplandUK even deals in its own currency of Elf Jingles, just to make it all the more fun!

LaplandUK will open its doors in Bewl Water, Kent on Saturday 1 December and will run until Christmas Eve (because Santa and the Elves are rather busy that night, obviously). Tickets are on sale now and can be booked from www.laplanduk.co.uk. Prices start at £44.50. Adults beware - you might have fun too!
