If you have not yet crossed the threshold of Chanel's pop-up Covent Garden boutique, I urge you to pay it a visit posthaste, for the mecca has undergone a fragrant facelift in the run up to Christmas.
The Covent Garden piazza boutique has re-launched followed it's opening earlier this year, with a dedication to Chanel's iconic fine fragrances for 2012's festive season. As well as the latest releases, the product offering includes classic scents, new additions and limited editions, alongside the brand's sumptuous make up collections, including the new Christmas collection (which, by the way, is to die for - it's ALL on my Christmas list...). Downstairs guests will find a manicure bar where one can book a session with a Chanel manicurist for perfect party-ready talons.
The icing on the Christmas cake however, in true Chanel style, comes in the little details; for the first time gift cards are available in store, in £25 or £50 denominations, and to top it all off guests can enjoy a luxurious gift wrapping service which includes a complimentary card featuring a quote from Mademoiselle Chanel herself, which will be personalised by the boutique's in-house calligrapher. The one I selected reads, "Elegance is being equally beautiful inside and out." Divine.
