Last night, The Savoy Hotel played host to the famous BRIT Award nominations - where top artists, who have made their mark over the last 12 months, were saluted.
Glaswegian singer-songwriter Emeli Sande received the greatest number of nominations, bagging four in total has two songs in the best single category, and is up for best female and album of the year.
Other big achievers were Mumford & Songs who are nominated for best group, album of the year and best live act, Muse (best group and best live act) and Rita Ora (also up twice for best single, as well as British breakthrough act). The Rolling Stones return was celebrated in the best live act category.
New boy on the scene, Tom Odell was crowned the Critics' Choice by presenter Nick Grimshaw at the event, while the work of incredible international charity WarChild was celebrated as they were given the Special Recognition Award.
Yesterday, a picture of the prize was released. The BRIT Awards 2013 statue has been designed by Damien Hirst.
