MUSIC NEWS: Get tickets to Muse's intimate War Child BRITs gig

London Art Scene from The Art Stop

Great news folks, children’s charity War Child and the O2 have announced that Muse will headline their annual O2 Shepherd’s Bush Empire event, two nights before the famous BRIT Awards take place at the Greenwich Arena.

Muse, who are themselves nominated for British Group and British Live Act at the prestigious ceremony, will play the one-off show on Monday 18 February to support the 20th anniversary of this incredible charity – who devote themselves to providing for and protecting children who suffer in war-torn areas across the world.

Matt Bellamy said: “We are proud to have a continuing association with War Child, who have been doing amazing work over the last 20 years. It’s great to see their efforts being recognised at this year’s BRITs and we are really looking forward to playing this special show for them”.

In fact, War Child will be awarded its own prize at the BRITs – the Special Recognition Award – which will be presented on the night.

From Bosnia, Chechnya and Rwanda to Afghanistan, Iraq and the Democratic Republic of Congo, War Child has provided over 800,000 children with care and education they would otherwise never have. This is certainly a worthy cause beyond belief, in our current climate.

Tickets cost just £50 and 100% of that money will go to the charity.

They are available on O2 presale now, but go on general sale from TOMORROW (Friday 1 February) at 9am.
