It may not be the most practical purchase I've ever recommended, nor the one with the most longevity, but Marks & Spencer's Autograph metallic leather skirt is so beautiful it brings a tear to my eye.
Buttery soft leather and a stunning, almost oceanic shade of blue-green, you may have seen it splashed across innumerable fashion magazines in recent weeks; I for one have been poised, ready to purchase as soon as I saw it in the flesh. And see it I did - it may be nearly sold out online but the Marble Arch branch had a number in stock at the weekend, so be quick!
