Love London

Yes I know it's still five months away, but new of this exhibition excited me o much I just had to share. Get it in your diary now, for this is one you will not want to miss.

This autumn, Somerset House, in partnership with the Isabella Blow Foundation and Central St Martins, is proud to present Isabella Blow: Fashion Galore!, a major new fashion exhibition celebrating the extraordinary lie and wardrobe of one Britain's most infamous fashion icons.

With a thirty year fashion career taking her from a stint as Anna Wintour's assistant at US Vogue in the early 80s, through [/iTatler, British Vogue[/i] and The Sunday Times Style Blow was credited for nurturing and inspiring a legion of artists and designers; from famously discovering model Sophie Dahl, to buying Alexander McQueen's entire graduate collection and becoming the long-term muse of milliner Philip Treacy, there are few whose life, story and wardrobe were as fascinating as hers.

Since her death in 2007, Blow's has become one of the most important private collections of the late 20th/early 21st century, now privately owned by Daphne Guinness. Curated by Alistair O'Neill with Shonagh Marshall and designed by award-winning architectural firm Carmody Groarke, with installations by celebrated set designer Shona Heath, the exhibition will explore her background, relationships with McQueen and Treacy, her legendary fashion and millinery and of course her legacy, including the SS08 McQueen collection he collaborate with Treacy and dedicated to Isabella after her death.

The exhibition will open at Somerset House's Embankment Galleries on November 20th, running until March 2nd 2014. Tickets from £10.
