3 of the Best: Summer Bronzers

Love London

The perfect bronzer is undoubtedly a make-up bag must-have, especially in summer. I’ve picked three of my favourites that might just help you make finding your dream buy that little bit easier…

A dark horse in the bronzer race for me this summer is the offering from under-the-radar beauty brand Arbonne. An American brand available online, the Arbonne collection constitutes skin and hair care, as well as bath & body products, fragrance and nutrition, but it’s the luxurious cosmetics that really stand out for me. Their bronzer (left) is gorgeously smooth, not too orange, not too dark, with just the right level of shimmer and glimmer to accentuate holiday tan. £21 from www.arbonneinternational.com

One of the great loves of my life, Guerlain, has launched what will inevitably become a go-to bronzer all year round. The Four Seasons bronzer (right) is a mix-and-match palette for 365 days a year; with six variations to suit every skin tone, each has been designed with four harmonising shades tailored to each complexion. For a healthy glow in winter, the two lightest shades re-define contours. In autumn or spring combines all four for a healthy glow, and when summer arrives raise the intensity by mixing and matching to add a spicy warmth. I’m a little bit in love with mine. £46.50, available from Debenhams, Harrods, House of Fraser, John Lewis & Selfridges.

Embossed with South American-inspired motifs and almost too pretty to use, ClarinsLimited Edition Summer Bronzing Compact (top) adds an instant glow to tired complexions. The caramel and coffee shades suit every skin tone, while an added central disc provides the perfect does of shimmering highlighter. Perfection. £30 from www.clarins.co.uk
