MUSIC & FOOD & SUN: FIVE things to do THIS WEEKEND

London Art Scene from The Art Stop

The sun's shining, London's buzzing and you're after a fun weekend. So, here are a few summer suggestions for making the most of this glorious weekend.

1. Get down with Justin Timberlake AND Jay-Z at Yahoo's Wireless Festival 2013, Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park

Will.I.Am, Rizzle Kicks and Jessie Ware are just three of the artists supporting headliners Justin and Jay-Z at Wireless Festival this weekend. Tickets are still available for Sunday, where the pair will be teaming up for a big finale. Be prepared for huge tunes as the sun goes down.

2. Take the Contiki challenge and win a tour to Europe

There's some total awesomeness going on in the West End - and it's awesomeness that could end in a free holiday for YOU. Kicking off in Russell Square at 11am, tour company Contiki are holding a scavenger hunt - which will take participants around London's most-loved sites. There are trips for Europe up for grabs, as well as tickets to the capital's top attractions, meals and days out. And if you complete the challenge, be prepared for the tremendous BBQ after-party at a secret South London venue.

3. Chilled-out tunes in the countryside with Magic FM

Don't fancy the hip-hop in East London? Then, how about some easy-listening in the country. Magic FM's Summer Live will be taking place at Guildford Stoke Park this weekend - and headliners are Jamiroquai and Bryan Adams. Less than an hour on the overground from Waterloo, the park will be buzzing with games and other artists on the bill - including The Overtones, Joss Stone and Kim Wilde. Plus, there will be plenty going on for the kids. Did someone say inflatable bouncy castle, inflatable mega slide, fairground games and face painting? Yep, we did!

Tickets are for sale at
magicsummerlive.co.uk

4. Enjoy a classic burger, fries and a shake in Covent Garden

EVERYONE's been talking about it, so be sure to stop off at the Shake Shack at Covent Garden Market for a delicious array of milkshakes, flat-top dogs, cheesy fries, sizzling burgers and craft beers. The 'roadside' burger-stand concept, which was originally started in 2004 at Madison Square, has Londoners and celebrities going crazy already. We recommend the SmokeShack Cheeseburger. And keep an eye out for Tinie Tempah.

5. Music, sports and games at British Summer Time Live, Hyde Park
With a stellar line up this weekend - including the Rolling Stones, Lionel Richie, Jennifer Lopez, Ray Charles and Elvis Costello - BST Live is set to dazzle spectators. But if you can't wait until then, there are plenty of activities to get into during the week too - from theatre stages, health & fitness classes, an outdoor cinema, comedy shows and an abundance of food stalls. Unfortunately, Friday's headliner Elton John has just cancelled his appearance due to appendicitis - but that doesn't mean the show won't go on.

Entry to the park is free, and tickets for individual events are available at
