The weather has finally arrived when one can seriously justify an indulgent winter coat purchase, and I think I've found The One.
A sheepskin aviator jacket is something that has forever been on my lust list. Ever since Carrie Bradshaw sported the cropped, puff sleeved Alexander McQueen number in one of the closing episodes of Sex and the City (you know the one, when Petrovsky buys her the Oscar de la Renta ballgown, don't pretend you don't. Ut was dreamy) I've been hankering after a variation. Admittedly the cropped, short sleeved version would not only be deeply unpractical but deeply unflattering on my busty physique, but a proper vintage-looking aviator is something quite different.

Robust and sturdy, yet undoubtedly incredibly warm cosy and yet still beautifully feminine, did you ever see such a perfect specimen of a jacket? One can imagine battling through icy winter winds in comfort and warmth in this beauty of a garment. I think I'll be pooling my birthday, Christmas and bonus money this year and investing - with proper looking after I have a feeling this is one love that will be with me for a lifetime.
