Covent Garden is fast becoming THE London destination for beauty buffs. First came CHANEL and the Burberry Beauty Box, followed by Charlotte Tilbury which swing open its lacquered doors earlier this year and now, on Thursday, a brand spanking new NARS boutique will be joining the ranks.
I'm sure I'm not the only one when I say This. Is. EXCITING.
Its first free-standing London boutique (I know. Why has it taken SO LONG?!), the 930 square foot space will feature slick, sharp lines and a sleek, modern design, conceived by the brand's Founder and Creative Director François Nars himself, alongside Fabien Baron, of New York design firm Baron & Baron.
The ground floor features three permanent makeup stations with full height mirrors and integrated lighting, along with two large TV screens featuring rotating short films created by NARS. The lower level, featuring a VIP area, includes a marble bookcase with François Nars’ books. A technology-focused sales area includes a NARS Cult Classics Wall and interactive
Magic Mirror technology for customers to instantly share their looks on social media - a tempting invitation to stay and play all day...
The piece de resistance is undoubtedly the boutique cash wrap in the brand's signature Jungle Red shade - just like the lipstick. The retail experience will be completed with a bespoke music mix created for the boutique by renowned French DJs Les Jumeaux and a unique line of 413 BLKR products – named for the first NARS boutique – which will be sold exclusively at this location as well as online at www.narscosmetics.co.uk
