There's a new kid on the block which is set to change the face of your pizza delivery. Meet Gallio, creators of delicious dishes inspired by Mediterranean cuisine, food designed to nourish body and soul, packed full of flavour and a wholesome alternative to your usual Friday night feast.
With a dough made from a mix of ancient grains, Gallio's pizzas not only deliver a better taste but a host of nutritional benefits; high in protein and antiodixants and an excellent source of fibre, if you're done with Dominoes and sick of sourdough, tap up Deliveroo this weekend and try out some of their delicious flavour combinations.
Ingredients include the likes of spiced lamb, labneh, rose harissa and pickled chilli, and chestnut mushrooms with olive oil, Aleppo chilli and pumpkin seeds, with a seasonally changing special.
We couldn't resist trying out a feast and what a spread arrived. We tried a roasted squash, pesto, smoked tomatoes and cripsy kale pizza and a classic buffalo mozzarella, fresh basil and tomato, both on a satisfyingly crispy base without a hint of grease, just delicious fresh flavours and a smug feeling of a healthy supper. Accompanying our pizza was a pretty spectacular roasted garlic and rosemary flatbread, some vibrant noccarella olives and a dip of beetroot borani, yoghurt, dill, medjool dates, feta and walnuts.
While enjoyed on a Clapham terrace, we could have been in the Med; every bite was delicious and I can happily confirm the pizza was also pretty good cold the next day, such was the size of the portions. With vibrant healthy sides and everything prepared fresh, it really is a meal that delivers big on taste.
With pizzas from £6 and sharing bowls from £5.50, it's a delivery that won't break the bank and one your stomach will truly thank you for. Available now on Deliveroo, to homes and offices in Lambeth, Waterloo, Elephant and Castle, South Bank, Vauxhall and Southwark.
