Mayfair's Patisserie Moment

Love London

As if Mount Street wasn't tempting enough for a moochy stroll of a weekend, The Connaught has this week opened its new patisserie; one part Parisian wonderland, one part Mendl's from The Grand Budapest Hotel, 100% irresistable.

Look out for the pink flag which will lead you to The Connaught Patisserie, a majestic confection of rose-hued interiors (courtesy of Ab Rogers design) and an utterly divine menu of sweet treats from Executive Pastry Chef Nicolas Rouzaud and his team.

From the breakfast pains au chocolat to lemon madeleines, walnut financiers, chouqettes and a special exclusive from The River Cafe, the Chocolate Nemesis, hand delivered daily and available for the first time outside its home. Sure to become its signature dish, the hotel's much-loved hound emblem has been lovingly reimagined as a chocolate hazelnut cake; a minature work of art.

Open seven days a week (8am-6pm Monday-Friday and 10am-5pm at weekends), visit the website for more details.
