The latest incarnation of Coppa Club has brought the brand's unique café culture experience to Southwest London.
The second opening in London, and the ninth overall, the new space sits right on the river, a cosy retreat for all-day dining; not going to lie, we're already excited about spending balmy summer evenings drinking on the riverside terrace.`
Mere minutes from both Putney Bridge tube and Putney overground, it's home to Coppa Club's iconic igloos for a cos evening as well as an outside terrace. The interior design takes inspiration from the boating heritage in the area and is separated into different sections for dining, drinking and chilling, even a library snug that's perfect for curling up with a book or settling in for remote working; it's a gorgeous space (serious interiors porn) and there are even private indoor and outdoor events spaces that can be booked separately.
The menu is a modern take on British and Mediterranean classics, as well as healthy specials with seasonal twists. We tucked in to nibbles including burrata with parma ham and beetroot, some great ham and cheese croquettes and garlic bread, before indulging in two hearty pasta dishes, one with truffle and one with plenty of delicious Devon crab and chilli, followed by an excellent sticky toffee pudding and pecan pie. It was a buzzing Friday night visit, every table taken and a crowd spilling around the bar - it's clearly already a hit with the locals.
Book yourself a table, or even an igloo; this is exactly the kind of location London needs more of.
