We always love a limited edition dish but when we heard that James Cochran was latest chef to create a limited edition collaboration for Burger & Lobster, we couldn't wait to get our chops around it.


The alumni of Michelin-starred Ledbury and owner of Islington's Restaurant 1251 is the latest in a line of chefs to hit the Burger & Lobster kitchen and turn his hand to a new dish, serving up a one-of-a-kind lobster roll which launched this week, featuring fresh chunks of Nova Scotian lobster meat and mouthwatering slow-cooked beef shin, loaded into a pillowy-soft brioche roll and finished with chopped parsley, crispy shallots and James's signature scotch bonnet jam. Served alongside the iconic french fries and accompanied with a jug of signature garlic butter, we headed down to the city branch on Threadneedle Street for lunch on Tuesday (yeah, we literally couldn't wait any longer...) to try it out and trust us, you won't be disappointed. What a lunch. Certainly beats a Pret sarnie, eh?


James Cochran comments: “Burger & Lobster are already a match made in heaven – have you seen a more iconic duo? But it’s an honour to have the chance to dress them up, James Cochran style. Bringing my Caribbean flavour to proceedings, enjoy BBQ beef spiked with my infamous sweet and spicy scotch bonnet jam, made even more luxury with truffle cheese sauce – because – more is definitely better…!”
