Here's the thing, we already LOVE Honest Burgers. Ligitimately. It's the fact you get the chips thrown in, it makes all the difference. So imagine our unbridled JOY when they release a new burger and it goes up in our estimations even more.
Reader, if you've not yet tried the new Smashed Burger, get it on your radar. This £8.50 bargain burger (yes, that includes their signature rosemary salted chips) is all the best parts of the classic offering but on a mini scale. The smaller size patty is pressed flat on to the hot grill, maximising grill times, cooking quickly with a heavy brown crust that keeps the juices in and is packed with flavour. Topped with American cheese, mustard-laced brown butter mayo, white onion and pickles in a toasted bun, it's a small bu perfectly formed burger perfect for lunchtimes.
We popped in to our local last week to try it out and it didn't disappoint. All the flavour but a more manageable size; it's a win from us and makes us feel marginally less piggy that a normal size.
