RONNIE SCOTT'S, LAUFEY AND THE SHIRES HEAD TO HOME FARM

Love London

Summer has well and truly arrived and what better way to embrace the season that with a series of open air feasting and live music.

The summer series ‘At Home Farm’ has returned for a third season with a stellar lineup of musicians, chefs and comedians. The uniquely intimate events are held within the rustic setting of Home Farm, Elstree with the first instalment of music artists, curated by Communion Presents, include Laufey and The Shires, as well as Ronnie Scott's Blues Explosion, while celebrated chefs, including Sabrina Gidda, Josh Katz, Noor Murad, and Social Pantry’s Sarah Turner collaborate with fire-cooking expert Ben Quinn and his acclaimed Woodfired Canteen to create one-of-a-kind, long table feasts under the Oak.

Laufey (pronounced lay-vāy), will be kicking off the summer series on the 13th July, the Los Angeles-based singer, composer, producer, and multi-instrumentalist with a transportative jazz sound, ahead of the UK's most successful country export The Shires on 14th July.

Ronnie Scott’s Blues Explosion will be taking over the woodland stage for the first time ever, 28th August, for a unique night of electrifying blues. Since its inception in 2008, their monthly blues night has remained a firm favourite on the club calendar, bringing top performers from the world of jazz and blues. Playing a pared-back, acoustic set, Paddy Milner (piano), Nick Cohen (bass), George Hogg (trumpet) and Marcus Bonfanti (guitar, vocals) will be joined by Jo Harrop (vocals) on the woodland stage. Harrop has built a reputation as one of the most unmistakable voices in British jazz.

Back for its third year in 2023, Woodfired Canteen, famed for outdoor long table feasting, will provide a foodie experience like no other At Home Farm. Guests will be welcomed for the evening to dine at the long table in the long grass meadow, with wood-fired feasts prepared by some of the UK’s top chefs in June and September this summer.

Woodfired Canteen’s founder, fire-cooking legend Ben Quinn, collaborates with each guest chef to carefully design a unique dining experience. The three course feasts are served on one long wooden table stretching out under the beautiful oak tree (on occasion, if required, there is a giant Tipi for guests to dine under) with live jazz music accompanying the evening. Each ticket includes a welcome drink, light taster nibbles and a three-course meal served on sharing platters. An array of wine, craft beer, cocktails, softs and more, are available to purchase during the event.

11th and 12th September see Bahraini-British chef Noor Murad's Autumnal wild dining sitting; her Bahraini roots have a deep influence on her East-meets-West style of cooking, with Arabic, Persian and Indian flavours making a prominent appearance in her recipes. Next up, Karan Gokani, Co-Founder & Creative Director, of Hoppers Restaurants, will be bringing an Indian and Sri Lankan-inspired one-of-a-kind menu, co-designed with Ben Quinn on the 13th of September.
