There's a taste of France in London this summer as the new St-Germain Terrace On The Plaza has opened at the Pan Pacific Hotel. Bringing seafood and spritzes to the city with a menu of delicious nibbles and refreshing tipples.
The St-Germain Elderflower Liqueur is created from one thousand elderflowers, picked while in full-bloom, and is the inspiration behind cocktails with a certain je ne sais quoi. Choices include the signature St-Germain Spritz, a mix of St-Germain, prosecco, soda and lemon, St-Germain Hugo, a highball with fresh mint, soda, lime, prosecco and St-Germain, Espresso Martini and Patron Grapefruit Soda, all available on tap. We popped down this week for a nosey - all in the name of research for you lovely readers, of course - and can confirm the St-Germina Spritz is a particularly refreshing option!
Alongside cocktails, guests can enjoy a menu of fresh seafood with Asian accents. The Tuna Ceviche, with edamame, sliced radish, wasabi mayo and ponzu sauce, was delicious, fresh and crisp and perfectly accompanied by the spritz. There's also a Prawn Rojak Salad, topped with spicy shrimp, prawns, pineapple, mooli, cucumber and toasted peanuts and a Salmon Poke Bowl. The star of the show however has to be the absolutely sensational Lobster Roll. Served not on the usual brioche but a more textured yet delicate roll, with plenty of lobster meat, onion crisp, chilli and coriander, it was nothing short of stunning.
It's a great spot for a catch up, being mere footsteps from Liverpool Street it couldn't be a handier location!
The Terrace On The Plaza is now open from 12pm – 9pm every day until 30th September.
