ADIDAS BRINGS BACK THE 80S WITH VINTAGE THREADS

Love London

adidas originals and Vintage Threads have partnered to bring an incredible retro shopping experience to adidas’ London flagship store. Re-creating an old adidas sports store that transports customers back to the 80s and 90s, the collaborative pop-up celebrates adidas originals’ range of uniquely retro sportswear.

With a vintage collection that travels through the 70s right up to the early 00s, the Vintage Threads x adidas pop-up store showcases iconic adidas originals styles whilst also bringing a vintage twist to some of adidas’ latest collections. The pop-up store experience can be found on the ground floor of adidas’ flagship on Oxford St and is open to all adidas and vintage lovers with rare archive pieces available.

The pop-up, which runs up until 18th October, also features a unique VT Rework collection that has been created using damaged and discarded adidas pieces that would otherwise have been destined for landfill.  The collection, which includes vests made from damaged adidas shoes, suits created from old track tops and furniture made from scraps, showcases the best of sustainable fashion, and encourages customers and creatives to seek new solutions to the landfill epidemic across the fashion industry.

As part of the collaboration, Vintage Threads, who have a flagship store on Neal Street in Seven Dials, will also be running styling workshops demonstrating how customers can combine vintage pieces and classic styles with the best of adidas originals recent collections.

The collaboration has also partnered with TRENCH magazine to host an exclusive event hosted by Sian Anderson at the flagship store with headline act, JME, performing live. Head here for early access sign up.
