Bond, Bush and Gonzo are just some of the gala and special screenings at this years' festival...

This year’s London Film Festival scored a record number of world and European premieres, with a total of 189 features and 108 shorts screening alongside a stellar line-up of special events and expected guests.

And this year The LFF will show Sundance winning movie ANYWHERE USA, described by Quentin Taranto as risky, provocative and a joy to watch.
Commenting on the Festival line-up, Artistic Director Sandra Hebron said: "We are delighted to be able to present such a diverse and high quality programme of films and events, with an unprecedented number of world, international and European premieres. We are excited that London in October will play host to world renowned directors, writers and actors, as well as to some of the most important new voices in international cinema."

Also, for two nights at this year's Festival, Trafalgar Square will have live music accompanying archive films celebrating London and all that London loves including High Treason, a futuristic fantasy vision of London from 1929.

Finally, from some of the gala and special screenings at this years Festival comes Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson, new Bond movie The Quantum of Solace and Oliver Stone's take on the Bush family in W.

Celebs expected to attend include Gwyneth Paltrow, Penelope Cruz, Jessica Biel, Liam Neeson, Eva Green and Sam Riley.
The festival (supported by The Times and MTV) showcases new work from established and emerging filmmakers alongside feature film debuts by newly discovered directing talents.
The two week event starts October 15th until 30th.
