Reasons to be cheerful?

London Event Reviews by May B

With the TV, radio and press spewing a constant diet of depressing news about the credit crunch, banking crisis, property market melt-down, High Street decline, raging inflation, mass unemployment it is easy to get miserable. Especially as the cost of living (surviving?) just keeps on escalating and officialdom seems to encroach even more on just about every aspect of our lives.

So. This morning I made a real effort to find reasons to be cheerful in London. I also asked the group of people that I met near Liverpool street for a training course. And here is what we came up with...

...With a slightly later start time it meant there was time to get a few extra minutes under the duvet and time to linger over breakfast for a while instead of eating as you ran for the train

...Free newspapers to read while travelling

...Getting a seat on the tube

...The sunshine over the river

...Warm weather meaning that heavy winter coats were not needed (some even braved short sleeves)

...it's only three more days til Friday

...Jude Law was filming near St Pauls!

Not exactly great inspiration. So what makes you smile?
