One of the comedy game's most inventive acts, stand-up and ideas machine Alex Horne performs his most recent Edinburgh show at the Royal Albert Hall's Elgar Room. (Wednesday)

Knock2Bag – Bar FM (Shepherd's Bush)
More alternative comedy excellence from Knock2Bag for cheap £££, featuring Canadian maverick Tony Law, Edinburgh Newcomer Award winner Daniel Simonsen, Ed Gamble, Tom Davis, Friday Night Dinner's Tom Rosenthal and rising star Richard Todd. (Wednesday)

Amused Moose Soho – Moonlighting Nighclub
This long-established club tonight welcomes and white trash country singer Loretta Maine, Paul Tonkinson, Markus Birdman, Joe Lycett and Suzy Bennett. (Saturday)

The Comedy Store Players (Piccadilly)
The mighty Comedy Store Players return with regulars Josie Lawrence, Andy Smart, Richard Vranch and also on this occasion, Paul Merton. (Sunday)
