French spa brand Caudalie has been planting its vines all over the world since 2012 but its latest project stays a little closer to home…
Hot on the heels of its Seven Dials outpost, the brand has recently opened the doors to its brand new Boutique SPA on Northcote Road in Clapham Junction.
As a Clapham resident myself I jumped at the chance for a recent visit. Directly inspired by Vinotherapie Spa Les Sources de Caudalie, it’s a modern interpretation of the brand’s heritage. It may be small, at just 60 square metres, but it’s perfectly formed. The beautiful space encompasses a boutique area and two treatment rooms (with extra-wide, heated beds FYI!), offering the full range of unique sensory treatments including facial treatments, sculpting massages and scrubs.
While I shall certainly be stopping by for the Caudalie Candle Massage another time, my first visit was to enjoy the Vine[Activ] glow-activating, anti-wrinkle facial (50 minutes, £70), designed to protect the skin from the ravages of pollution and early wrinkles. Incorporating a relaxing massage using Jade stones, it also combines the purifying properties of a pink clay, coffee and grape mar mask as well as utilising the Vine[Activ] anti-pollution range, available the boutique, which is packed with anti-oxidant polyphenols, helping to protect the skin from everyday aggressors such as pollution and stress on a daily basis. The collection consists of a Serum (£36), Smoothing Eye Serum (£27.50), 3-in-1 Moisturiser (£32) and Overnight Detox Oil (£30), which together help to combat the effects of a hectic lifestyle and initial signs of ageing. Skin is left glowing, revived and protected against the ravages of London life. I picked up the range on my way out, though the staff were so friendly and knowledgeable - and the boutique so beautifully welcoming - I could have bought the entire store.
