Go Back to School with The Indytute

Love London

Despite no longer being of the age to partake in full time education (not entirely sure whether or not that's a good thing...) September inevitably always brings with it that back to school feeling. I have discovered it can, in part, be subdued with new stationery (that's my excuse anyway) but there's nothing quite like using the new term to sign up to something new.

Originally launched in 2013 as part of Selfridge's Christmas gift department, The Indytute offers a range of curated experiences from some of London's top talent, with an exciting menu of workshops, events and classes you won't find anywhere else. Ever fancied learning the art of hula hooping or partaking in an urban photography safari? Perfecting your aerial silk skills or learning blues guitar? From terrarium making to neon art, a swing dance day to harmonica lessons, this is far from your normal night school.

If, for example, the world of dating apps is just not your bag (whose is it, really?) and you feel like going back to the old school, then the Indytute's workshop on The Art of Flirting might just be for you. Led by love coach and psychosexual therapist Cate MacKenzie, the class will teach you this ancient art; your confidence levels will rocket along with your social life. The Indytute proudly reports that actual real life dates have resulted from this class (sign me up...) and - above all - it's a bit of fun and very very funny!
