Camden Peoples' Theatre

Camden Peoples\’ Theatre nurtures new talent, particularly from the local area, and experimental theatre in particular is favoured. They also run mentoring schemes for budding theatre production companies. The theatre space is tiny, with capacity for just 60 people, while the foyer doubles as an exhibition space and the basement is used for rehearsals. A fully licenced bar also operates on the premises. Notable shows have included Amy Lamé's Unhappy Birthday and a staging of Chekhov\’s Uncle Vanya, where actors spoke in different languages. The theatre is a registered charity, and relies on donations, sponsors and ticket sales for its funding. Tickets for most performances start from around £10.
