Shepherd's Bush Market between Goldhawk Road and Shepherd's Bush tube stations, is one of London's busy markets. Like other similar markets such as the ones in Brixton and Ridley Road, Shepherd’s Bush Market is a real locals' market; a melting pot of different cultures, and a meeting place for local ethnic groups, particularly the Afro-Caribbean community.
The market is a great place for food shopping, especially when it comes to West Indian food, Asian spices, vegetables (with vegetable stalls that also sell more unusual things such as . yams, cassava and breadfruit), fruit, fish (there are two fishmongers) or meat (you’ll find three butchers, one of them a halal butcher). You’ll also find falafel & kebab stalls, "cash and carry" shops, eat-in cafes, grocery stores and a biscuit and confectionery seller.
But the market isn’t all about food, you can also buy electrical goods, household items, fabrics, clothes, cheap toiletries and make-up.
Shepherd’s Bush Market is open Mon- Wed, Fri, Sat: 09:30-17:00, Thur: 09:30-13:30
