Opened in 2008, The London Bridge Experience is a relatively new attraction housed within the vaults and tombs of London Bridge itself. During the construction of this attraction which cost over £2m, workers came across a large collection of buried bones believed to date back to medieval times!

The London Bridge Experience has been designed to offer a truly thrilling experience to its visitors with a great combination of history and horror. Whilst there, you’ll hear all about London Bridge's past, Vikings, Romans, Keeper of the Heads and much more.

In addition to the main experience, the London Tombs, which are built within the vaults of London Bridge, are an additional part which you can include in your outing. Be warned though, those that are faint hearted needn't bother! The tombs have been described as "easily the scariest place in the UK and the most haunted" by 'Most Haunted Live' (2008).

Opening hours are 10.00 - 18.00 daily (closed Christmas and New Year).

The capital has subterranean tunnels aplenty, some more exciting than others, such as the London Bridge Catacombs. The underground network beneath Tooley Street is of particular interest to us because just a few years ago a load of human bones were uncovered, leading many to think this was the site of a plague pit. But that’s not all: some of the skulls found have holes in them, which suggests they were impaled. A section of these tunnels now forms part of the London Bridge Experience, a guided tour through the catacombs complete with CGI special effects.

I took my mates there last week, what a place. Very scary, but well worth the money. The educational part upstairs was also handy for my little sister and her history assignment.
