Sunset Strip Theatre

I used to visit the old Sunset Strip during my London visits in the early 1990's. The owner then was an elderly 'gent' whose surname, I think, was Bass. He had an assistant who looked after the girls downstairs. The charge was £10 for as long as you liked, but he always invited me in for free, because I was a photographer ! Does anyone else remember him, and his name ? For my fond memories !

I first visited the old Sunset Strip as a frustrated adolescent in the old days when it was in St.Anne's Court and Soho was really sleazy.This must have been about 1960. Even then it was a cut above the hundreds of other clubs around at the time. Having reached maturity (more or less - I'm 66) and living abroad I have rediscovered the Sunset Strip during my regular visits to London. Times have changed and so has the Strip. It's great - beautiful women,a nice atmosphere and no feeling of being ripped off. Of course the girls have to make a living, but this is one place where I'm prepared to leave a bit of money. At last I now don't have to cross the Atlantic to experience striptease and nude dancing which is really FUN.

Having visited London this weekend I was expecting to get ripped off, but this wasn't the case. We came across the club as we were wandering around Soho on Friday evening and ended up staying in til closing time. The door staff were very friendly and helpful as were the bar staff. The club is small and quite intimate and covers two floors, ground floor the bar and where you can meet and chat with the girls. On the whole the girls are all very attractive and friendly with a lot of Eastern Europeans (no complaints) however, a couple were a little aggressive and the other (friendly) girls were aware of this.

Down in the basement is the dance floor where, whilst we were in, had continuous nude dancing.

There are also 3 booths for private dances, which are very reasonable at £10 although this area is very cramped and retrictive.

We enjoyed Friday's experience so much we returned on Saturday and stayed in until closing time.

The girls rotate shifts around 6/7pm so it worth while staying in for a while.

Overall a great place to see some beautiful girls, enjoy pleasant conversation and have a few beers. If you're visitin London and looking for some great adult entertainment then check this place out, you're sure to enjoy.

After passing this place once, i looked it up online and visited, and have been going pretty much monthly since. Its a great bar, day or night, the staff are friendly, all the girls are beautiful and also really nice.

The show is good fun and the drinks are at pub prices. You only pay the admission fee, any tips you would like to give the girls (who don't put any pressure for you to do so, although obviously its appreciated) and a small fee for any private dances.

Its a really nice atmosphere. Sometimes in the evenings there are too many girls on so to see a particular girl you may have to wait a while, but in general its a simple rotation and theres always someone to talk to at the bar.

I love the place and reccommend it to everyone for a good night out. Would also be ideal for stag nights etc. After going here, i wouldnt go to any other similar venue as i doubt it gets any better!

Forgot to mention - the girls are drop dead gorgeous, with
some of the best personalities I have ever met. Bar maids
as gorgeous. Once youv,e been you will want to go back again
and again. Dont miss it, its safe, and no rip off.

Brilliant.

I have been to this club several times, and each time the staff is friendly. Entry fee is £15 and you will get your money's worth in the downstairs cabaret within half an hour or so. No pressure to tip the dancers, but of course that's why they are there. Beer costs £4 (can or bottle). Dancers hang around upstairs near the bar in case you want some conversation. A rotation of 5-7 girls go on in the downstairs cabaret. Excellent variety of attractive dancers. Normal tip=£5.

The space of time inbetween dancers can get a bit too long, and you may sometimes find yourself sitting staring at the wall, but overall this place gets my seal of approval.
