Bar Social

My advice for anyone thinking of booking an area at Bar Social is - DON'T DO IT. I've had a terrible experience from start to finish with the manager at Bar Social . The venue itself is fine, but he is inconsiderate and rude. He'd 'lost' my booking for the basement area on each occasion I spoke to him and was generally unhelpful, disorganised and difficult. Worse was to follow on the night....
I offered to pay a deposit to secure the room (for my girlfriends 30th Bday) but was told that wasn't necessary. Then a couple of days before the party (after not being to find my booking again) he said that he reserves the right to allow other people into the area, but it obviously too late to consider changing the venue by that time. On the night itself he started sending people down to the basement without telling us "as it was busy upstairs" - other people were eating our food (that we'd brought from Bar Social) and we lost the feel of it being a private party.
He tells you that you have the room reserved to get you there but really has no intention of keeping it as a private area. When we spoke to him on the night it quickly became apparent that he couldn't care less about the fact he was spoiling a special night and all he was worried about was how many people he could cram into the place to get money through the tills - I totally appreciate that this is a business and weekends are the busiest time but to be so inconsiderate and damn right rude is just not on.
In summary, the whole experience was a nightmare and I would strongly recommend against booking Bar Social for any event.

Just when you thought it couldn't get any better, Bar Social has been given even more magic touches. The basement area and mezzanine has been kitted out with new seating areas and its absolutely fab - the place looks great and the DJ was on top form at the weekend - we ended up spending the whole evening there with the party of folks we were with. This bar is a total gem and I will certainly be celebrating more good times there. A must to go if you haven't already been.

Love this place for after work drinks & had/been to a few birthday do's there after work and we all really enjoyed this venue.
Nicely put together very big Cocktail menu & friendly on the ball staff, nice music and equally nice decor makes it easily one of the nicest bars in Clapham.

Went to bar social with some mates last weekend and had a great time, we were all impressed as to how freindly the bar staff were, the general cosy feel to the place also made it relaxing since the music was not too loud either. We spoke to a few regulars and said the casino night is a good laugh too so we have made a note of that and will be checking it out soon.

I can’t stand fireworks so I talked a couple of friends into going for a drink last night, thought we would try somewhere new rather than the usual haunts. So we decided to give a bar in lavender hill a try, bar social,

We got there and were stunned, the place is amazing, they had a casino last night so we got our drinks, a huge selection there, plus cocktails which we decided to try, they were really well mixed and tasted great. The casino night was good, a croupier was there and we all played a few hands, it wasn’t too heavy so was a really good laugh.

The staff were so friendly and helpful as well, even came, and played a hand with us as well as making us feel really welcome. The whole atmosphere was really friendly and welcoming so we had a really good night.

Definitely a good find we agreed, will go back, I would recommend the place to anyone.

Quite possibly one of the best bars in London and easily the friendliest bar staff in Clapham. The place looks great, the cocktails are really well made and not overpriced, the music was also good and not too loud so chatting was no great struggle like a lot of places.All in all an enjoyable experience soon to be repeated.

I had a great time at this bar a few nights ago, the cocktails and beers list they have will really knock u back there's so much to choose from, and at very reasonable prices for London.

The atmosphere went well with the decor warm and cosy, the bar staff I found were rather friendly and very on the ball and made everyone new and regular customers very welcome.

I will be heading back to this fab bar with a few mates next time show them what they're missing.

My partner & I decided we wanted to go out for a drink, but didn’t fancy walking to the 2 brewers, so popped into a pub we had seen round the corner, called Bar Social

We got there and can honestly say we both are glad we did go there, had a wonderful evening, this was last Sunday. There was a croupier doing casino stuff & even a belly dancer, we hadn’t had such a laugh in ages. Drinks were great my partner had cocktails, trying to be posh, and said they were great. I stuck to lager and they had a good selection.

The décor was eclectic but it really works, it’s very atmospheric there & they have smaller areas where you can get privacy, great for romantic nights!

All in all we are now saying to our friends we have a new local, it’s really nice to find a good mixed bar where everyone makes chats to each other, and there is no bigotry.

I had heard about this bar a while back so when I was in the area last week decided to check it out.

Me being a virtually total beer only drinker I was really impressed with the sheer number of different bottled beers available, and what impressed me even more is there was actually quite a few that I had never tried.

The staff I found to be polite and freindly and even asked me if i needed any help in deciding what to do drink. The music and general feel to the place was warm and inviting and quite relaxed I would say for London. I also noticed the also have a huge list of cocktails on offer and also serve food.

Sadly I only had time to try two drinks but I shall make a point of stopping off there again soon with some mates in tow and show them what they're missing.

Happened upon this gorgeous little bar last week and I am so glad I did - I love it. Super friendly, great cocktails and lovely wine, I can't wait to go back.

my boyfriend & spent an amazing night there last noight, bgreat selectoin of drinks, we got very drunk., the staff were grfeat, managed to get us into a cab in one piece.

Loved they decortion of the pub, its very unuisual and works well.

My friends & I went for a drink to Bar Social yesterday & I was very pleasantly surprised. The bar has a massive range of drinks, the bar staff were very helpful & friendly.

The music was not too loud, we could actually hear ourselves talk, which was a nice change from the usual noisy bars.

The decor was very relaxing.

All in all we had a greta night there & would highly recommend the place.
