Paying homage to the rich cultural history of Notting Hill, MODE recently exploded onto London’s dining and late-night scene with an unparalleled originality. MODE, a restaurant, cocktail bar and destination venue creates new, highly immersive and limited edition chapter experiences, every six months.
Each MODE chapter, inspired by a specific concept or moment, will seek to push boundaries by showcasing a creative and contemporary food & drink offering, curated installations and artworks, alongside an eclectic live and electronic music schedule. Masterminded by five local entrepreneurs Stevie Thomas, Jono Remington-Hobbs, brothers Oliver and Benjamin Bolton and Jolyon Klean.
Introducing its first chapter ‘Future Vintage’, guests at MODE are immersed in a setting inspired by the industrial revolution, set over the ground floor and mezzanine levels.
MODE’s cocktail menu offers a range of classics, each with a modern flair. The inventive menu includes the Candy Crush, made up of Hubba Bubba candy infused vodka, fresh lime and egg white; the Gentleman Sour, a mix of Gentleman Jack, fresh lemon, apple juice and maple syrup through to the B.C Daiquiri, which combines Bacardi Superior, Wray & Nephew Overproof rum and homemade vitamin C water. Every MODE chapter will have provide a collection of signature cocktails that reflect the concept.
Dedicated to Notting Hill’s heritage and burgeoning arts scene MODE showcases a series of one-of-a-kind art works, from world-famous street artists, such as Obey Giant and Wreckage to billboard phenomenon Dr D. Innovative architect, Andrew Cross, has lifted MODE’s exterior to showcase a series of multi-coloured unique 3D LED mapping graphics. A multi-faceted venue, Creative Director Robin Collings – co-founder of Shangri-La, Glastonbury – has created a space for hedonistic escapism.
