All In London Review
Dingy, sweaty venue where you dance all night long
Some may not be charmed by its dinginess, its uneven floor that inevitably becomes littered with beer cans by the end of the night or its general unpolished aesthetic, but its raw, dark appeal is surely part of its charm, as this is the kind of messy, sweaty venue where you dance all night long. Situated under the railway arches a few minutes away from London Bridge station, this intimate venue has two rooms and a total capacity of 600, the main room has the bar on the opposite side to the DJ area along with a small alcove containing seats, while room two is a little smaller and has further seating, with a remarkably clear sound despite being partially open to the main room (Funktion 1 soundsystem, naturally). The music policy is firmly entrenched in the house and techno genres, and recent illustrious names have included Steve Lawler and Seth Troxler, whose Red Dot Japan fundraiser took place here, as well as the Lovebox warm up party with Ben UFO, Tim Sweeney and Optimo, and the pop-up arts and music project Counter Culture. The club stays open till 6 am, and occasionally has events on a Thursday night when the dancing goes on till 5. The entrance fee depends on the event, but expect to pay between £10 and £15 on average.
