This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery.

The Harwood Arms is attempting to provide Londoners with a really relaxed venue for eating the finest British produce, cooked amazingly well, accompanied by excellent beer and wine at a great price. Although famed for serving fabulous food, it is still a Pub and there is a lively, friendly atmosphere and at times (particularly on Tuesday quiz night) the noise level can rise!

Head Chef Barry Fitzgerald continues Stephen William’s work in the kitchen, with ingredients coming from a variety of carefully sourced producers. Renowned for the finest game and wild food - predominantly from Berkshire, seasonality is all at the Harwood, and the food is proudly British in character. Menus are a collaboration between Barry, Brett and Mike, whilst the beer side of the pub is handled by Edwin. The front of house team is headed up by Alex Sergeant, who has developed the wine list into something really special. You will always find the finest of British Ales and Bitters on the bar. The Harwood Arms has received many accolades over the last 3 years, and are very proud to hold the first and only Michelin star to be awarded to a London pub.

This may have a Michelin star but the attitude of the front of house manager was unacceptable. We ordered shoulder of lamb but when it arrived it was rack of lamb - the staff had not been informed that the kitchen had run out and the whole dish had changed. When we asked about it we were met with a sulky response and an unconvincing apology. Not good enough. Portions need to be a little more generous as well. Great place, delicious food but all in all a bit of a shame.
