Sorry, 'Imbibing Emporium' (funny how things look different after you've been th the pub)

A special little pub, a stone's throw from the mania of Oxford Street but a million miles from the modern capitalism that is that Occidental bazaar, that during the day can be a quiet retreat, somewhere to rest your shopping bags and weary plates in comfortable and clean surroundings. It's generally quiet and the staff very friendly. Come the evening the place can get very busy, such is the popularity of the place with the locals, and its small size can make this a bit claustrophobic. Once a week there is a sing-along with the piano, and pay attention to the sign outside, this is not just a pub but a 'Drinking Emporium'. Well worth a visit
