I must start by saying that I’m not that familiar with this pub. I happened to be there one week day, late morning, to meet a friend to kick off a birthday event with her as special guest. But I was embarrassed that I had chosen this particular pub, as well as embarrassed on behalf of the manager/landlord for his overwhelming rudeness and callous attitude to a poor guy who’s van had broken down just outside, on a main road, and somehow had managed to steer into the pub car park. The manager/landlord was extremely unhelpful and made it very clear that he wanted the vehicle off his property asap. Despite the fact that the motorist was waiting for the AA so couldn’t give an exact time when this was likely to happen! This man is meant to be in the ‘hospitality’ industry for goodness sake! I think some further training may be necessary in his obviously lacking people skills 😳
