Downstairs an air of sophistication and sense of establishment is given with the use of hand crafted chandeliers and a 26ft long solid pewter bar as well as numerous other design flourishes. There is a dedicated space for dining, where we can cater for groups of most sizes and also a stylish lounge area if you want to visit and choose a drink from our extensive list. The food at Idlewild is based on simplicity, the seasons, and the traditional. The menu showcases mainly British produce.
The courtyard garden sits snugly behind on a lower floor and is a perfect hideaway on hot summer days. To top the venue off, literally, on the first floor, is a grand apartment style cocktail lounge. Petrol blue in colour, with huge Venini Murano glass chandeliers casting an almost sunset like light throughout this decadent lounge space; it is a sophisticated and stunning room. Djs and live music at the weekend add to the sense of occasion, while framed creepy crawlies and butterflies line the stairs on the walk up to this drop dead gorgeous bar. The Apartment bar is very popular for parties and is bookable in advance.

What lovely place. The interior of the place is really grand and so I expected i to be more exspenive than it was. We went in one afternoon for lunch and never came out!!! We were there all day, the manager was great and kept checking everything was ok. The service was quick and friendly. We all felt very special and will be going back for sure!!
