Ye Olde Red Lion

Met with friends last minute arrangement and hadn’t made a booking. None of the things we wanted were available ( fish n chips / beef among others ) but thoroughly enjoyed what we did order which was veggie burger and 2 starters they were really tasty. Server Debbie handled all the shortages really well and made nice suggestions - she was very cheerful and helpful. Weather was very hot and so we chose to sit at an outside table - not easy to find one that was clear of dirty glasses and we had to wipe ours down once we had moved the glasses off. But we we well served by Debbie with a lovely manner and as we left she was cleaning the tables.
