Ye Olde Black Bull

Hi! I’ve only recently started using this pub, but am almost a regular now! Here’s why:
• Always 2 or 3 (very well kept) ales on tap
• Friendly governor and staff
• Gets very busy, but never “stressful”
• Large heated smoking area in the back
• A juke box you can actually hear
• Plenty of screens for the football/rugby
All in all, a damn good boozer!

Since its refurbishment this bar has gone upmarket. The food is quite good and the staff are friendly. I recommend visiting early where the roast beef is real and not the "wafer-thin" prepared of the premises rubbish that you get in other establishments. I aim to go back there again when i'm in Stratford.

Went there for the first time since the complete refurbishment of the pub,for a tuesday evening they were quite busy.paid 2.80 for a Guinness which is above average
for this area but I did like the surroundings and the customers seemed normal which is a nice change from some of the other pubs.Would call in again and try some of the food on offer, and see how good the bar staff are when really busy.
