All In London Review
Part trad boozer part bohemian hangout
The atmosphere at this pub seems to be a mixture of traditional, rough-round-the-edges boozer and bohemian hangout. The olive green walls and worn wooden furniture suggest the former, while the candles, strategically placed broadsheets and curious characters in velvet jackets reading them lean to the latter.
It makes sense considering its location, neatly sitting between Camden Town and Primrose Hill. The advantage of free wi-fi further attracts coffee-sipping muso types while in the summertime the benches outside are often filled with young, enthusiastic revellers.
Tables for dining are around the back of the room, where punters tuck into unexpectedly gourmet dishes such as venison burger with redcurrant jelly and brie or spiced courgette, feta and spinach roulade, both for under a tenner. The pub prides itself on providing affordable food; Sunday roast with all the trimmings starts from only £10.50.
Drinks are equally well priced and include a couple of ales, San Miguel, Heineken, Amstel and Guinness on draught, as well as bottled Peroni and Laphroaig whiskey should you want a drop of the hard stuff.
It’s unpretentious yet cool and a mere stone’s throw from Camden Town tube station, yet far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the high street. Ideal for a quiet afternoon of drinking, eating, or peacefully reading the paper.
