Henry J Bean’s in Chelsea, situated on the fashionable King’s Road, is the site of the very first Beans American neighbourhood bar and grill to hit the UK. The bar provides a relaxed and friendly meeting, eating and drinking place that any American would think of as home.

The venue features a wealth of richly stained and varnished timbers, separate booths and soft lounge areas, complemented by American memorabilia in the form of advertising signs, photographs and old newspapers. All in all this provides a warm and inviting traditional atmosphere in which to relax, socialise and party.

The large feature bar also provides a unique focal point at Henry J Beans, crammed full with bottles of liquor against a background of mirrors and glass shelving and serving some of the most exciting cocktails around.

In addition, the bar is home to one of London’s most famous beer gardens, complete with a range of comfortable garden furniture, palm trees, a stunning mosaic fountain, patio heaters and carefully designed covered areas, offering a sanctuary from the hustle and bustle of London and making it ideal for chilling out on a summers day or for hosting a whole range of outside events.

The bar’s all American menu, delicious cocktails, comprehensive range of wines, spirits and beers and versatile interior and outside space, make this one of the best bars in south London.

An American bar that doesn't serve any American beer on tap. This says it all really. It always feels a long time waiting at the bar to order a drink despite there being plenty of staff.

The food is overpriced and average at best. The only good thing is the garden out back which is nice in the summer.
