This is my local pub and it's just wonderful. The food didn't use to be that good but they have a new menu and chef so it's improved a lot. The fish pie is excellent and the chips are super tasty.
The choice of beers is incredible. I love fruli, which is strawberry beer. They also have raspberry beer if you like fruit beers. There is a good range of ales and lagers, including Czech, German and wheat beers. This pub also has a varied wine menu.
The place itself is very relaxed with different sized tables as well as a few sofas. It's a lovely place to meet friends.
There are some tables and chairs outside.
All my friends are jealous that I have such a lovely local! You should try it.
Refurbished in 2006 and reopened in December 2006, The Marquis Of Cornwallis is a pub serving a good selection of real ales and lagers on tap as well as delicious gastropub food. They can cater for private parties of up to 50 people in their function room.
