‘Our inspiration at the moment is just to sound different’

After blazing into the hearts and minds of the international music community with their G-house and bassy four-to-the-floor sound, Amine Edge & DANCE get ready to fire up the weekend with a headline set at Fridays at Egg on October 6th.

Following an explosive summer of sell out shows and prime-time festival slots and with Loco Dice ripping up Circo Loco at DC10 with their latest bomb, ‘Ruthless’ and the new ‘Good Times EP’ due on Defected Records, French duo Amine Edge & DANCE continue to inspire and twist the dance floor in their unique style.

Originally shooting to fame on the back of their G-house sound, mixing their hip-hop roots with the low end groove of bassy house, their break through saw them transform well known tracks into universal dance floor movers including their take on Frank Ocean's 'Lost' and the Notorious B.I.G-sampling 'Going To Heaven With The Goodie-Goodies', they're built an extended crew and global following thanks to their own CUFF label. You can rest assured AE&D are going to bring the bass tonight shaking things up with a slew of hot new Exclusives…

The French house flavour continues with respected DJ/Producer and Robsoul label boss Phil Weeks joining AE&D on the decks. With his current ‘Be With U’ track and Harry Romero’s ‘Hot Again/Lost In Music’ detonating the dance floor and charts, Phil’s old school Chicago-influenced mixing channels a nu-school French flare going from the deepest house to the techiest. One of the most respected guys on the scene, Phil prefers vinyl, likes his mixes dirty, and knows how to rock a crowd with a heavy hitting bass line.

Fridays at Egg…a selection of guests across the house music spectrum.
