On way to work stopped at shop came back to car and it was completely dead i phoned the garage as ive had my mot done there for a few years now and they are always really good.within 10 minutes of me ringing they had sent a nice young man to me who then ordered me a battery and it was all sorted within about an hour and half .im so pleased that i can rely on this garage their service is brilliant.

I've taken six cars here for MoT and had another serviced, all within the last four months.
All the cars went through their MoT without issue, on or around their £35 charge. Servicing is well below the cost of other garages.

They are very friendly, helpful and honest.

Took my car for an MOT and they couldn't have been more helpful. When apparent the car would fail on a fairly minor issue they spent a good 15 minutes trying to fix the problem for me (dodgy washer motor).
They then found a bigger problem so the car failed anyway but they still tried beyond the call of duty.
To me they are fair, honest and do a good job. Oh and they are a lot cheaper than the garage I went to before.
They are definately my local garage from now on.

I have recently moved to the area and this is the most local garage to me. I did read the previous review and ensured I asked for an estimate prior to getting any work done. My poorly MG had an unknown knocking noise which a tyre garage couldn't even isolate. This garage allowed me to drop it off early in the morning before work, and provided an update prior to lunch with the cause and the cost. It was an acceptable price and was in line with the previous garage I used which I called for an estimate on the same work.

Following the snow my engine warning light come on after four hours skating around the A22 in first and second gear. I didn't even book it in, I turned up and they not only reset the computer, gave advice on what to watch for but they did it completely free of charge.

This is the complete opposite of the previous review but personally I can't fault this garage and will be booking it in for its MOT and Service in the New Year. I would recommend it to anyone.

Usually I use a family mechanic we have known for years, however owing to illness, and limits of time, we had to use this place. They overcharged my fiancee for an MOT and and service charging twice for labour, adding in extras that were not required or asked for. Upon consulting our usual mechanic, this was about three times more expensive! They could and would not give valid or justifiable reasons for this, and would not refund any of the money already paid. I would never go back, even if the car was worth no money and someone else was paying. Quite frankly, I have experienced better service from a brick. It is no wonder that mechanics are stereotyped as rip-off merchants when they happily live up to the stigma ascribed to them. There are better mechanics anywhere and everywhere. Do not get caught out by this one. I have seen positive reviews on other sites, however these seem to be over 3 years old. I cannot comment on service then, all I can do is persuade you to consider your options before deciding on this place, for the sake of yourself and your wallet.
