I cannot believe how bad the customer service was from this store - DO NOT SHOP THERE!
All in all I spent over 1,000 pounds with them and got Zero Customer Service. I got most of the items for our ensuite bathroom from them, including a shower door which was worth 380pounds. It turned out that it didn't fit in the space, so I needed to return it for a bifold door instead, from exactly the same range. Unfortunately the plumber had opened the box that the original shower door came in (obviously), so the shop would not take it back. Nor would they offer me any kind of alternative solution. In the end I ended up forking out another 380 pounds for a bifold door, and was stuck with the old one. The old one was 100% in perfect condition but only the box was damaged.
Anyone with any retail experience would know that there are many different options they could have offered me - a) they could have used the perfectly intact box from the new shower door I bought to package the old one in, they were from the same range and exactly the same size. b) They could have charged me to get a new box for the old shower door c) they could have sold the shower door in their shop ex-display and given me whatever proceeds gotten from this or d) they could have at least given me some kind of discount on the new shower door. None of these were offered, despite me making it clear I was willing for any of these solutions.
Not only that, they were very smug and unhelpful with me, which was ridiculous considering I had spent over 1,000 pounds with them, and it obviously was a genuine mistake that the box was opened.
So much for supporting your local independent store, I'm sure Homebase or B&Q would have offered me a proper solution to this problem, in fact I would have been surprised if they hadn't given me a full refund.
Do no shop with these clowns if you can avoid it. What a horrible experience I had with them and I'm 380pounds down.
