I used to love this shop. I love trying to speak the Polish that I know and am still learning.. And I always smile, please, thank you, excuse me, yadda yadda. I still think it has the best Polish food stuff of any shops I've been in London.
Lately it seems someone hit the place with the miserable stick
Today I went in. Got 2 bags of frozen pierogi, a carton of Barcht. I was thinking around £6 something. I noticed Stock vodka was on special for £6.99. Got that as well.
The total? £22.45... Without thinking I paid it and went out. No receipt was given and not even a miserable sounding "dziękuję". Perhaps it was a mistake, but as soon as I paid the till worker took off toward to rear of the shop, which I thought was odd at the time.
If my wife (from Szeczen) hears that I got stung for a tenner from them... Better call the riot police! ;-)
Sorry guys for the two stars, the produce is good... The service drags everything else down today.
Great stuff but ALWAYS ask for a receipt.
