The Works

I've been going here for years and its the only place im comfortable in. My 2 main haircutters have been Billie and a lovely Tibetan lady. I've also had my hair coloured by Tracy and the Portuguese man. I've always left satisfied. What I love too is some of the staff have been there for years. The only time I ever felt disappointed was after not going for couple of years when i was out of London I returned and nobody recognised me.

A friend of mine took me to The Works for waxing. I was thoroughly satisfied and surprised that I didn't know the place before despite living close by. Will come again.

My friend and I got hollywoods (waxing) from Karthika- amazing! Lovely lady, very skilled, fab results (zero hair & zero bruising/ rash) AND great price! My only complaint is that the salon isn’t open later- the times on this site aren’t correct. If they had late nights (8pm/9pm) on Thurs and/or Fri- I’d be in there more often! Ru and Jen

Paid £20 for a brazilian wax from Karthika and was amazed by the treatments and results.

She uses hard wax, which is virtually painless and gives way better results than strip wax - I totally recommend that you try it if you've only experienced strip wax. She was so professional, quick and thorough (went over strays with tweezers afterwards, made sure I was 100% happy before I left) and was chatty with such a warm nature- totally put me at ease and I'm sure it made it hurt less than normal as well.

Go, go, go. I've had waxes for 7 years now & this was in my top 3 best, if not the best

I have done my waxing at the works, I was very happy with the result.
Especially Hollywood waxing is painless.... I recommend to my friends...
The staffs are friendly as well...

I have been using 'The Works'-beauty saloon, for almost ten years now and have to say that I am extremely happy with that place. I live in Lewisham and it is a bit of a hassle to get there but the two times I tried to have my bikini line, 1/2 leg waxing or manicure done somewhere else I was not happy at all and went back to 'The Works'.
