Post Office

My experience is with the Post Office in Brixton, Ferndale Road. I try to avoid it. Really rude stuff (lady at drop off) and some guy who took 20 minutes to send a parcel that takes 2, 3 minutes at other post offices. He literally tried to find some fault and must have done it on purpose. Meanwhile if you’re from the same ethnic background they seem more chatty and helpful, which can make you wonder if they just don’t like European people in there. Hope they close. Much better to walk to another post office than to deal with hostile attitudes like that.

The two lady's that work there (especially the one that's been there longest) are such beautiful souls.

I haven't seen the other one recently though. Hope she's okay. Keep up the Good Work, as you're doing a marvellous job under sometimes very difficult circumstances

The behaviour of the staff in this post office is absolutely disgusting. They had no interest in helping me ship an item overseas, even after telling them I wasn't sure what to do. They yelled at me and made comments about me to each other. The staff need to be spoken to and should not be working in customer service.

Every time I go here I’m taken aback by how unfriendly and unhelpful the staff are. I always leave feeling disappointed, upset or angry and so I’ll make an effort to use an alternative PO going forward.

The lady in there has serious motivation issues to work very selective about what they are prepared to do, and very rude. Dissapointed as there was once a perfectly run post office before they built this one and put untrained staff in it.

Really great local post office. Open late. Wish they had more than two checkouts and a money exchange. Staff can come across a bit standoffish however, if you are polite and friendly you will find they are too. They look after the local older people who come in and they travel from quite far away to work there-so those who have posted a bad review - please bear that in mind!

Having visited this post office recently I would like to say that the woman who served me was polite, courteous and helpful as well as being friendly. I have been served by both women over a period of time as I have been to this post office on other occasions and have always found this to be the case. Many of my friends now use this post office on my recommendation and are pleased that I have told them about it.

Very poor customer service at this particular Post Office the staff definitely need training in some of the most basic elements of customer care. Their unhelpful advice cost me needless inconvenience and time wasting - and when this was pointed out to them in a civilized way their defensive display of ignorance and indiference was shocking.

The staff appear to have very limited motivation and training. On a number of occasions I've been told it's necessary to go to a larger post office in Kennington or Brixton only to have staff there advice that there was no reason the original query should of been sent to them. It seems a growing frustration with staff at the larger post offices as Brixton Road Sub Post Office are selective of what they are prepared to do, wasting customer's time. The staff are also very rude - shouting at people or refusing to serve people when they have been waiting for 30+ minutes before closing at 17:30.

I had 2 parcels to post which were wrapped with brown wrapping paper supplied by another PO. The lady at the counter refused to serve me after she had tried to stick a signed for sticker on the parcel,she said the paper was rough, it wouldnt stick. She said i had to buy new paper. I expected as the paper was from PO they would of offered me free packaging as their paper didnt work! it was inconvieniant. I asked them for celotape to stick signed sticker down, she said I would have to buy it!I took my parcels to another PO branch they posted with no problems. Improve customer service skills.
